The first phase of Ovidiopol wind farm with a capacity of 32.4 MW was launched in Odesa region

In the Odesa region, the first phase of Ovidiopol Wind Wind Farm “Ovid Wind” with a capacity of 32.4 MW was commissioned. It is reported by Energoreforma.

The construction of the wind farm was carried out by the Turkish company Guris Holding Co. Inc.

The first phase of the wind farm consists of 9 General Electris wind turbines with a capacity of 3.6 MW each. The height of the tower is 131 meters, and the span of the blades is 137 meters.

In April of this year, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission set a feed-in tariff of 10.18 euro cents per kWh for Ovidiopol Wind Farm.

Guris Holding Co. Inc is planning the construction of Ovid North wind farm with a capacity of 80 MW (Ovidiopol district of Odesa region).

Initially, the company specialized in the construction of hydropower plants and thermal power plants. The holding built large energy facilities with a total capacity of about 1.7 GW.

In 2000, it reoriented to the construction and operation of its own energy facilities using renewable energy sources (RES).

As of 2018, the holding's portfolio included 79 MW of hydroelectric power stations, 162 MW of geothermal stations and 373 MW of wind farms.
