The Verkhovna Rada registered a draft law on financial support for Guaranteed Buyer to pay for renewable electricity

The Verkhovna Rada has registered the draft law No.5041 on amending the law on the State Budget-2021 regarding the support of Guaranteed Buyer SE for paying for electricity produced by renewables, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

The initiators of the bill were a number of deputies of the Batkivshchyna faction, in particular Oleksii Kucherenko, Vadym Ivchenko, deputies representing European Solidarity, in particular Oleksii Honcharenko, Irina Friz, as well as Yuliia Klymenko and Rustam Umerov from the Golos faction, Liudmila Buimyster from Servant of the people, non-factional Victoriia Hryb.

To recap, Guaranteed Buyer has begun the process of paying off debts to electricity producers. On February 4, 2021, funds were transferred to electricity producers for commercial products in 2020.

Earlier, Guaranteed Buyer fully paid off the producers of renewables electricity for December 2020.
