On the border with Crimea a new wind farm with a capacity of 133 MW will be installed

German company “Nordex” enters the Ukrainian market. It will install 34 wind turbines for “Sivash” wind farm on the border with Crimea.

The capacity of the first line of a find farm will be up to 133 MW. A capacity of each wind turbine will be 3.9 MW. Total capacity of a wind farm will be 250 MW.

Until the end of 2019, the company will deliver the first batch of wind turbines to Ukraine. The final installation of the wind farm is planned until the end of 2020. This wind farm should produce as much electricity, which is enough to meet the needs of about 100 thousand Ukrainian families, which is equal to the population of Rivne, the company says.

The wind farm will be built by the Norwegian company “NBT”. The total cost of the project will be $400 million. The company plans to build 67 wind turbines, and the capacity of the wind farm will be 250 MW. The EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) partially will allocate funds for the project, agreeing a loan of $150 million.

 It was reported earlier that the Norwegian company “SCATEC SOLAR” will begin a construction of a solar power station in the Kherson region, which will cost 180 million euros.
