Over the first half of the year, more than 7220 private solar power plants were launched in Ukraine

In January-June 2020, 7220 private solar power plants were connected to the distribution system operators of DTEK Grids in Ukraine, Ecotown reports.

“In Ukraine, the number of home solar power plants is growing at least twice every year. In the first half of the year, 28% of the total number of prosumers launched private solar power plants in Ukraine, ”said Ivan Heliukh, CEO at DTEK Grids.

Also, in the first six months, 1330 new solar power plants were connected to TSO networks.

The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine reported on 25.6 thousand installed private solar power plants in Ukraine based on the results of the second quarter of 2020. Almost a third of all prosumers in Ukraine (7220 private solar power plants) are connected to the networks of operators of the DTEK Grids distribution system.

The company says that most of the private solar power plants are connected in Dnipropetrovsk region.

“As of July 1, 2020, 3398 private solar power plants have been installed in Dnipropetrovsk region, 785 of them have been connected this year,” the statement said.

As of July 1, 2020, Kyivoblenergo installed 2,082 private solar power plants, 297 of them were connected this year, Odesaoblenergo – 1071, of which 126 are new solar power plants, DTEK Donetsk power grids – 473, of which 109 are new solar power plants, DTEK Kyiv power grids – 196 , of which 15 are new SPPs.

Earlier it was reported that Guaranteed Buyer had 100% settled with the producers of "green" electricity for 20 days in August.
